Snow Sports Campout

Staying overnight at a military base with great facilities!
Campout - Indoor Mountain Biking
Want to go mountain biking but think it’s too cold in December? You can come with us at Ray’s Indoor Mountain Bike Park!
This is a three-storey disused warehouse that has been converted into a three-storey mountain biking course! It has many hills, plus a speciality skills area with narrow paths (between 24” and 6” wide) so it has a wide variety of activities and something for every skill-level !
Ray’s has bikes for rent, so you don’t need to bring yours.
Overnight camping will be at Camp Manatoc, where we went for Summer Camp this year.
Christmas Tree Sales
Here’s an opportunity to work on your sales skills and help the Troop!
Christmas tree sales after Thanksgiving and for a while after (see Troop communications for actual times and signups).
Scouts get to help customers select their tree and use their knot skills to tie it on top of their vehicle.
Helps the scouts build their self-confidence, skills and ability to communicate with adults in a fun environment.
Thanksgiving Feast Campout
Friday evening until Sunday morning.
Our annual Thanksgiving Feast campout! With many turkeys and all the trimmings being cooked by the scouts — many valuable cooking skills to be learned and in a fun way!
Then, families are welcome to join us and we all enjoy the fruits of our labor!
Halloween Campout
Staying at Camp Rotary (near Clare, MI)
Leaving Friday evening, returning Sunday lunchtime.
The Clare Witch Project is the annual Halloween event hosted at Rotary; each Troop develops their own Fright Site and then all scouts visit each others’ site for Halloween fun!
Campout - Stargazing at Island Lake
Staying at Highland group camp, including a visit to the Ford ruins.
And on Saturday evening, we will go to Island Lake for their annual “Astronomy at the Beach”, with many astonomers and telscopes. Scouts can also work on their Astronomy Merit Badge
